Once he picked up the 5-month-old Goldendoodle, it was one of Garfield’s best decisions. The dog was named Baxter, but Garfield decided to call him Doggie.

The number of animals in foster care through the ASPCA’s New York City and Los Angeles programs has increased by 70 percent compared to last year.

A mom from Upper West Side said that her children always wanted a dog and now, their wish has been finally fulfilled. She said fostering a dog is a great idea as a distraction during this hard time.
