Even if you’re not a fan of Bill Murray, you may have watched the 1993 movie Groundhog Day. If you haven’t watched the movie, it’s about Phil, the main character, reliving the same day over and over again for  10,000 years. It’s okay if you didn’t like the movie. Bill Murray also hated it so much that he even stopped talking to its director Harold Ramis for 20 years.

Murray decided to relive the movie once again for a hilarious ad. However, this time he was reliving the same day over and over again with a new adventure while driving the 2020 Jeep Gladiator.

Jeep, the automobile maker, came up with a hilarious Groundhog Day-inspired Superbowl ad in order to promote their new off-roader. Murray played Phil again while going on a new adventure with a 2020 Jeep Gladiator.

This ad will certainly bring back the memories for the people who grew up in the 90ties.  It’s full of Murray-esque jokes and even Ner Ryerson makes a guest appearance. If you don’t remember, Ryerson was Phil’s annoying childhood friend.

Although Murray hated the movie so much, it seems that he had a lot of fun while filming the ad for Jeep.

Just like in Groundhog Day, Punxsutawney Phil and Murray’s character go on many adventures including off-roading, skiing and bike riding.

The ad has been shared on social media and it received more than 20 million views in less than 24 hours. People are absolutely loving it!

For more than 75 years, the Jeep name is associated with freedom, adventure, passion, and authenticity. These vehicles are made for those people who want to do something extraordinary.  The adventure is found in every Jeep vehicle’s DNA.
