Meet Nala the cat. She smiles at everyone who comes to the animal shelter, hoping that someone will finally notice her.
A good man from the Netherlands found Nala when she was pregnant. The friendly stray cat was in labor, but she had some issues while delivering her kittens.
She was immediately taken to a veterinary hospital where she had an emergency c-section. Sadly, just one of her two kittens has survived. The animal protection group in the Netherlands, Dierenbescherming, took Nala and her baby in so they could live a better life.
The kitten grew to be a healthy, independent young cat and already managed to find a forever home.
Nala also loved to be around people in a safe environment. She loves everyone she meets at the shelter.

Nala is always smiling, not because she likes to smile but because she has a cleft lip. She also has a skin condition that requires hypo-allergenic food. She is so much better right now. However, she may always need to follow a special diet.
Whenever a visitor comes to the shelter, Nala gets very excited and starts meowing in order to receive attention. She wants to be noticed so she stands up against the glass window, staring the visitors with a big smile on her face.
Nala is very happy when Ineke Kamps, a volunteer at the shelter, visits her. Whenever Ineke visits Nala, she is greeted by the little furball who is always up for some cuddle time.
When Nala needs her beauty sleep, she loves to lie down on a warm lap or to cuddle with a human friend.
Now, Nala is looking for her perfect home. It has to be a house with a garden and her new owners should not have a problem with her special diet.
