Fortunately, the little girl was adopted by the 41-year-old Italian Luca Trapanese. Now, he’s a single dad who loves his adopted daughter!

Adopting as a single parent wasn’t easy for Luca. While he was filling in the adoption papers, the 41-year-old man couldn’t believe it that the social services allowed him to become Alba’s legal father. He was surprised that he was granted custody although he lives in a country where single and homosexual men can’t really adopt.

This was one of the many reasons why Luca adopted a child with Down Syndrom although he doesn’t have a partner. However, he pointe out that this was a difficult process because adoption agencies prefer “traditional” families.

Now, Alba is a happy child in her new home. with a vibrant personality. She loves being around people. She also loves to dance and play with her toys.
