Not all heroes wear capes, but some of them wear a police uniform. Recently one dog fell in a storm drain and a policeman in Shah Alam came to the rescue.
Meet Mohd Azad, the police officer, who rescued the dog and then reunited the puppy with its family. He was on duty with his colleague to enforce the movement control order due to the coronavirus.
While he was on duty, he heard that a puppy was crying. Then, he noticed that the puppy had fallen in a storm drain. He didn’t want to leave the poor dog there, so he decided to help him.

At first, Azad carefully tried to gain the puppy’s trust. Then, he gently lifted the puppy out of the rain. He patted the puppy on the head before he lifted it up and placed it back on the ground.
Two bigger dogs, who appear to be the puppy’s parents, watched the rescue mission from above the drain. Soon, the puppy was greeted by his parents and all of them wagged their tails happily.
If there were a downpour and the drain started filling up, the puppy could have drowned. Fortunately, Azad rescued the poor puppy before it was too late.
Azad has been a policeman in Shah Alam for the last 13 years. He said that the dogs melted his heart when they approached him when he climbed out of the drain. He felt really good because he saw the dogs weren’t afraid of him. Instead, they were friendly.
After the video of the rescue mission was shared on social media, Azad was praised for his selfless act. However, he didn’t expect that the video would go viral and he didn’t save the dog just for some public attention.
People were touched by Azad’s gesture and they praised him for his kindness on social media.
