The coronavirus pandemic is already changing our lives. Now that countries are in quarantine, it’s really hard to do even the most basic stuff, including visiting your loved ones in the hospital. These restrictions are prevention for health and safety to everyone. It’s very difficult for people who are in a hospital for longer periods to see anyone face-to-face.

However, for Joanna Hehir from Texas, the most difficult thing was not seeing her two dogs George, and Fiona, who are a huge part of her life. Her main wish was to see her sweet pups during the quarantine.

Joanna has been at the hospital for weeks. She’s been recovering from a stomach ulcer. She saw her family and her lovely dogs before the lockdown even began. Unfortunately, she wasn’t able to see them ever since. Joanna is a very devoted dog mom, she just wanted to see her furry family members.

When John, Joanna’s husband, saw her difficult situation, he was determined to find a way to reunite her with her dogs in a safe away.  Although that seemed really impossible, he came up with an incredible idea.

He noted that the dogs don’t understand why their human mom isn’t at home. First, John wanted to bring the dog to the hospital’s parking lot, so Joanna could see them from her room’s window. However, one nurse suggested something even better. She said the dogs can stand outside the lobby window.

When John and his son brought the dogs at the hospital, the nurse skipped her lunch break in order to bring Joanna to the lobby. Then, she brought Joanna in a wheelchair right up to the window. There was only glass between Joanna and her dogs. When the two Great Pyrenees saw their mom, they got really excited!

Although Joanna wasn’t able to hug her husband, son, or dogs, she was really excited to see them. The dogs didn’t understand why they can’t cuddle with their mom, they were happy that she is alright.

Hopefully, Joanna will be out of the hospital soon and she will be able to cuddle with George and Fiona!
