Winter is the worst season for pets. The coldest season is just as bad as for animals as it’s for humans. Since America is experiencing one of the coldest winters in history, it has a major impact on pets and their owners, as few dogs are found frozen solid.

It’s important to take proper care of animals when they are outside. Unfortunately, there are cats and dogs across the states that actually live outside and they’re suffering because of the really cold weather. Even the government had the intervene in order to solve this recurring problem.

Cats and dogs should live outside in severe cold waves just like we experienced in January. There are many pet owners who take proper care of their animals. However, there are also pet owners who are negligent and put their pets’ lives at risk.

Some parts of America experienced colder winters than some of the coldest places in the world, including Antarctica and Iceland. Even people who are aware of Antarctica’s conditions were shocked by the freezing weather in America.

The cold wind really didn’t help the temperatures, which were fell to negative 30 degrees or colder. These temperatures are bad for both humans and animals left outside.

When people leave their pets even during normal Chicago winters, it’s hard for dogs to live outside for a long period of time. If the police see an animal living outside in harsh conditions, they will charge pet owners with hefty fines and or send them in jail.

Recently, new ordinances have been passed, so police officers have the option to hold negligent pet owners accountable. Thanks to these ordinances, many dogs’ lives have been saved.

Fortunately, law enforcement officials have the right tools and knowledge to help dogs who have been left outside. If pet owners don’t obey, they may face some charges.
