A man put his life at risk just to rescue his neighbor’s dog hanging out from a window. The horrifying event happened in Bogota, Colombia 13 floors above the ground.
The poor dog held by her hips and back legs but could have easily slipped at any moment. Luckily, Diego Andrés Dávila Jimenez came to the rescue when he noticed that the neighbor’s dog Luna was stuck and dangling from the balcony.
First, Diego tried to contact his neighbor that his dog is in an unfortunate situation, but Luna’s owner wasn’t home at the time. He couldn’t go into his neighbor’s apartment because it was locked.
Then, he tried to nudge Luna with a broom, but he couldn’t reach her. He had only one option left – to climb out the window and reach the dangling dog from the outside.

Diego went to the neighbors downstairs, right under Luna. Then, he climbed out the neighbor’s window, went up on the balcony and brought Luna back to safety.
However, a crowd gathered in front of the building and someone brought a mattress in case someone falls. Fortunately, nobody was hurt during this awful situation.
Another neighbor video-recorded the rescue mission. Later, the video was shared on social media and got over 4 million views.
Luna’s owner returned one hour later. When neighbors told her about the unfortunate situation, she became very emotional and thanked her neighbor for saving her dog.
Diego is a true hero! He noticed a puppy in danger and he didn’t hesitate one second. He immediately tried to help the puppy even if that meant putting his own life in danger.
