In Canada, a would-be mother dog was caught on a dog’s motel camera while escaping from her kennel to cuddle with two crying puppies. A match made in heaven!
An Australian shepherd cross named Maggie has been residing in one of the kennels at Barker’s Pet Motel and Grooming in St. Albert. The two crying puppies were also residing near her kennel.
Maggie has been residing at Barker’s just for a week when the puppies were brought in at the dog motel. Sandi, who works at the motel, stated that the motel often boards dogs for local animal rescue shelters when they don’t have enough room for the dogs.
When the puppies arrived at the motel, Sandi settled them into their own kennel. Then, she went out to have dinner with her family.

During dinner, Sandi wanted to check on things at the motel, so she caught a glimpse of live feed from the surveillance cameras.
But, when she got home with Alex Aldred, who also works at the pet motel, they watched the entire footage of the surveillance cameras. They saw something weird, but cute. Maggie sneaked out of her kennel when she heard the 10-week-old crying puppies.
Maggie, who arrived recently at the dog motel, somehow got out of her kennel and was waiting in front of the puppies’ kennel. She walked around other kennels but she always to the kennel where the puppies were kept.
Sandy went immediately to the motel. When she arrived there, Maggie led her to the kennel where the crying puppies were, signaling that she wants to comfort them. Maggie is such a compassionate dog.
It appears that Maggie had a litter of puppies on her own, but they were adopted. Maggie now has a new home with a loving family. However, two of the puppies are still up for adoption.
