All shelter dogs wait to be adopted, but some of them wait longer than other dogs. Unfortunately, people tend to choose their new pets based on appearance and cuteness, and that’s the case of this beautiful pit bull that people call him ‘ugly’.
However, these dogs deserve to be loved as well, just like this good boy who is waiting for the right family to love him for who he is.
Wally is an unconventional-looking dog. Unfortunately, he had a tough life and is just looking for a new family that will love him no matter what.
When Wally was first brought to the Town of Islip Animal Shelter on Long Island, New York, he was a 10-year-old stray dog.

He was taken to vet where it was discovered that Wally had some health problems, including a skin infection and blindness in one eye. These problems gave poor Wally an appearance. So, the shelter staff was worried that it would turn potential adopters away.
Although he had an unusual appearance, he proved to have a lovely personality and became a favorite among shelter workers.
According to veterinary tech Danielle Gorle, Wally loves hanging out and doing nothing. Also, he will do anything for food.
Wally needs a new home where he can spend his golden years with a loving family.
Unfortunately, visitors to the shelter see his appearance and not his lovely personality. As a result, he’s been waiting for over a year to find a new home.
Hopefully, someone will see under Wally’s beauty beneath and will end up in a good and loving home.
He is not good with other animals and needs to be the only pet in the house. Otherwise, he is the perfect dog, good with people, and plus he is neutered.
If you want to adopt Wally, you can contact Islip Animal Shelter, or visit his adoption page.
