Pit bulls are often described as dangerous and brutal dogs, but that is not true. They can be a man’s best friend, just like other breeds. This story is proof of that.
When a fire broke out in Stockton, California, an 8-month-old pit bull became a hero.
Sasha the pit bull knew that something was wrong so she started barking in front of her owner’s room. Nana Chaichanhda’s apartment was on the verge of burning down, but Sasha sensed a fire in the neighbor’s apartment so she started barking in order to notify her family and other neighbors.
Nana had never seen her pet bark like that before, so she knew that something wasn’t right. When Nana came out of her room, she realized there was a fire. Since she’s a mother, she immediately went to grab her toddler from the other room. The apartment around her was on the verge of burning down, so the mom had to find a way to her daughter’s room.

When Nana went into the room, she was surprised to find Sasha there. In that unfortunate situation, the brave dog went into the toddler’s room to save her.
Sasha had already claimed on the bed and grabbed the waist of the toddler’s diaper. The dog wanted to save the 7-month-old baby from the fire. When Nana went into the room, she quickly grabbed her daughter and her dog and then ran out of the fire-ravaged apartment.
Sasha saved both the owner and the little girl. The dog put her life at risk to save her family.
The fire left the Chaichanhda’s apartment inhabitable. But, it’s more important that nobody was hurt and the family survived, thanks to their lovely dog. Nana plans to reward her dog with a big treat.
The fire department is now investigating how the fire started. They still haven’t discovered the cause of the midnight fire which disrupted many people who live in the building.
