Aasha, the 9-month-old Bengal tiger weighed just 30 pounds. When she was first seen, she was malnourished and she was even missing patches of her coat.

Vicky Keahey is the woman who rescued the poor tiger. She is the founder of the animal rescue named “In-Sync Exotics Wildlife Rescue and Educational Center” which is located in Texas.

Keahey explained that Aasha was actually a part of a circus. Her owners neglected her and even abused her as well as the other tigers that Aasha was sharing her cage with.

Unfortunately, it was really obvious that Aasha was in poor health condition. Apart from the others, only she was diagnosed with ringworm. So, the little tiger had to be isolated in her own enclosure in order to receive proper medical treatment.

However, the founder of the animal rescue decided to do everything she can to nurture Aasha back to health. The malnourished tiger received medications and medicated baths almost every day. However, Aasha didn’t like the baths so this was a big challenge for Keahey. She wanted to heal the lovely tiger who overcame her fear of bath time.

Aasha was rescued just eight months ago, but now she resembles a completely new animal. Now, she can leave her enclosure and join the enclosure where the rest of the tigers are. The rescuers thought it would be best for her if she is placed her next to a male tiger named Smuggler. It turned out that it was the best decision they could ever make.

Aasha and Smuggler love spending their days with each other. They became really good friends.

Therefore, the staff at the animal rescue decided to place the two tigers in the same enclosure, and now they became the perfect couple!
