The saying “A dog is a man’s best friend” is often used to describe the special bond between dogs and humans. Many stories can confirm dogs’ love for humans is stronger than any obstacle. Recently, Leo, a dog from Thailand, was left near a gas station by mistake. It appears that the family has forgotten him. From that day on, Leo never left that place and patiently waited four long years until he was reunited with his family. The story immediately went viral.

People who live in the area tried to help Leo. He was so slim and starving for food. Also, it appeared that he developed some kind of skin disease. A 45-year-old woman named Saowalak gave him food as much as she could and took him home. However, the poor dog Leo ran away every time and he was found in the same place by the road. So, Saowalak gave up and just brought him food next to the road.

Another concerned citizen called Anuchit Uncharoen wanted to find Leo’s owners, so he took it to social media. In his post, he shared photos of the dog and mentioned that he has been waiting four years to reunite with his owners in the same spot.

The good people of the internet shared the post and a miracle happened. Leo’s real family found him. They contacted Anuchit Uncharoen and told him that Leo looks like BonBon – the dog they lost four years ago. The family has been looking for their dog after they realized he was missing, but didn’t manage to find him and assumed the worst.

BonBon was really happy to see his family. However, he didn’t want to go home with them. It appeared that he chose to stay with the woman that has been caring for him for the past four years. His previous owners supported BonBon’s decision and let him stay with Saowalak. They also promised to help her take care of BonBon, come visit and even pay for any vet bills.
