Many times, dogs have proven that they are amazing creatures. Besides being very loyal companions, they can also save us when in times of need. Dogs are very compassionate, and they will even help other animals or humans besides their owners.
Recently, one dog helped a child who almost froze to death in Siberia. This region is located in Russia and it’s known to be the coldest inhabited place in the world.
A 2-year-old child was cruelly abandoned on a cabin’s front porch by his mother during cold weather. The child was wearing light clothes and was shivering as the temperatures were minus 12C.

Luckily, there was a dog living in the cabin where the poor child was abandoned. When the dog saw the child, he immediately rushed to help and wrapped his body around the child in order to keep him warm.
Thanks to the dog, the little boy survived for 2 days until neighbors noticed the dog and went to check on him. When they arrived at the cabin’s front porch, they were surprised when they saw a boy lying underneath the dog.
Fortunately, both of them survived. The little boy was taken to a hospital, where doctors found out he suffered from acute hypothermia. The boy received the necessary treatment and he responded well to it. However, the little boy was forced to go 48 hours without food.
When the poor boy’s mother was finally identified, she was charged for neglecting her child. As a result of her cruel act, she is facing a potential jail sentence. She also may lose the right to raise her child.
The people that are involved in this horrific case have not been named yet.
Why would someone do this to their child? Such a cruel mother! Thanks to the dog, the boy managed to survive. He is a true hero!
