The Seeing Eye Foundation, a philanthropic organization on the East Coast that helps the blind, paired Coachman and Lucca together. Coachman had the dog just for three months. But, he missed Lucca while the dog was missing.
On Saturday morning, Coachman’s prayers were answered when he received a phone call from a neighborhood teen who confirmed his friends took Lucca. He said that he knew it was wrong to take the dog.
On Friday, the married father told ABC7 that his dog was stolen from the backyard of his home a few days ago. The pair spent the whole day running errands and then walked home from the train station.
Coachman took the dog to the backyard. He went inside to get some food and water for Lucca, but when he got back, the dog was gone.
Ever since Lucca was returned to his owner, many well-wishers and neighbors have arrived at Coachman’s doorstep. They are relieved that the pair were reunited.
Although the entire situation may have left some bitter feelings, Coachman said that his faith in the goodness of people has been renewed. Believe in the good of people!
