Owning a pet means spending a lot of special moments together, including going on adventures or snuggling on the couch. Every minute you spend it with your pet should be cherished.
Erin Merryn and her family owned a cat named Bailey. They loved the orange feline and included him in their daily activities, which they photographed and video-recorded. However, there is one video of Bailey that has social media users needing tissues.
Merryn was in college when she bought the cute cat. She even managed to sneak Bailey into her dormitory.

Merryn felt like she won the lottery with Bailey. During an interview with People, the author, and speaker also said that if everyone had a cat similar to Bailey, there won’t be people in this world feeling lonely or depressed.
The cute orange feline was around when Merryn gave birth to her first daughter Abby and brought her home. The mom wasn’t really sure how the cat would respond to a baby in the house. However, Bailey quickly fell in love with the newborn and even gave her snuggles, purrs, and affection.
Abby also fell in love with Bailey. When she sang to him and read him stories, the cat would sit through every moment of it. When the family welcomed their other daughter, Hannah, the cat had the same love and patience as he did with their first daughter.
Bailey earned the nickname “No Ordinary Cat” because of his unusual behavior. He allows Abby and Hanna to dress him up, bathe him, and even push him in a baby stroller. Bailey also attended their picnics, plays at school, and even accompany them at their lemonade stands.
The girls’ special connection with Bailey was captured through pictures and videos, which Merryn shared online. Sadly, the feline’s life was coming to its end. The 14-year-old Bailey had kidney failure and Merryn knew his life was about to end. So, the four-year-old Abby sang “You Are My Sunshine” to Bailey. The whole thing was caught on camera and everyone loved the video. He passed away just three hours after the video was recorded.
May he rest in peace!
