Lions are known as the kings of the jungle. They are amazing creatures who live in Sub-Saharan Africa and some parts of Eurasia. They are carnivores who love to hunt antelopes, baby elephants or rhinos, insects, rodents, and even crocodiles.
Lioness moms are so protective of their cubs, they wouldn’t let anyone near their youngsters. Who would even dare to come near a lioness mom and her cubs? I wouldn’t recommend it. All animal moms are protective of their youngsters, especially after birth. If you don’t want to lose an arm or something even worse to happen to you, then you should stay out of a lioness mom’s way.
However, there are always exceptions. Take this lioness for instance. Not only she gave permission to a man to come closer to her babies, she even let him hold and pet them. Although it sounds unbelievable, it’s a true story.

The man in the video is Kevin Richardson who is also referred to as “The Lion Whisperer”. This is not the first time that he met a lioness. In fact, he was there for her when she was born and has been taking care of the lioness his whole life.
Usually, when somebody is taking care of a wild animal since it’s birth, they tend to create a powerful bond between them. So, it’s not surprising that the lioness mom let Kevin see her cubs. Most animal lovers would die to be in his place. They play, cuddle, and even sleep together.
New moms usually don’t let anyone see or touch their youngsters. So, Kevin had a tremendous privilege, holding the little cubs. Their mom trusted him because she is aware that Kevin is the person who saved her life and he would never hurt her babies.
This is an amazing story that shows what love and trust mean, even for animals.
