There are many people around the world that love animals. However, there are some people who hurt animals in the most sickening ways for no apparent reason. That is the case with a 45-year-old man named Nakial Betts. He mutilated a puppy in the most horrible way. Fortunately, the police found the poor pit bull after a drug warrant search at his house in Memphis, Tennesse.
Memphis police were executing a drug warrant search at Betts’ home on Delta Road. They found him sitting in a car with a woman and a black and white baby pitbull. Betts admitted animal abuse to the police after they found a baby pitbull with its ears cut off.

Police searched the house before asking the couple to bring the poor dog inside. Then, the police saw that the animal had his ear cut off and they got arrested.
During interrogation at the station, the 45-year-old man admitted that he mutilated the puppy with sterilized scissors. After cutting the poor puppy’s ear, Betts used peroxide and antibiotic ointment on its injuries. The ear cropping job must have been done at least four or five days ago done at home.
Betts was arrested and charged with animal cruelty. Not only the police took the baby pitbull into custody, but they also took two other dogs found in the garden.
Betts also had another property on King Avenue. Police searched that property as well. A white bottle with a brown liquid was found in a fridge and three syringes. Betts stated that he used those as antibiotics.
Hopefully, a loving family will adopt the wounded puppy. Before adoption, the new family will have to provide a veterinary reference letter in order to stop further abuse.
Dog owners cut dog’s ear just for better appearance. However, this is a cruel and painful procedure and it’s banned in some countries in Europe.
