Meet Steve, the man who has 6 dogs, a pig, cat, rabbit, chicken, and turkey. All of his animals are rescues. Although these animals weren’t bought at a pet store or a breeder, that doesn’t make them less lovable or bad pets.
However, Steve doesn’t mind that his pets aren’t bought from the pet store. He loves them anyway. He even welcomed a new dog named Engelbert, whose story is incredible.
Engelbert was living a sad life at a local animal shelter. Nobody wanted to adopt him because he had several health issues.

When Steve arrived at the shelter, his intention was to adopt another dog. Sadly, that dog was already adopted. So, Steve didn’t want to return home empty-handed, so he decided to walk around the facility and find another dog. That’s when he saw Engelbert! He wanted to take the dog because he knew no one else would due to Engelbert’s condition.

The dog has been abused by his former owner. During winter, Engelbert was kept outside in the cold. His ears had to be trimmed because he had frostbite. Also, his back legs don’t work properly. Fortunately, the dog was taken by the shelter.
Engelbert is an unbelievably strong dog. When Steve took the dog home, he introduced him to his family of one human and many other animals. Although all of Steve’s animals are rescues, they are all adorable and get along with each other very well.
Whenever someone asks Steve why he isn’t married yet, he jokes that he should show them the picture below.
