Meet Narwhal, the dog who has a tail growing out of his forehead, or how they call him the ‘Unicorn’ puppy. If you haven’t already seen him, allow us to introduce you to the famous puppy.
Narwhal immediately became a viral star this week after the Twitter account WeRateDogs shared numerous pictures showing the extra appendage growing out of his forehead. The latest tweet has since gathered over 603,000 likes and nearly 129,000 retweets. As soon as the pictures were shared, celebrities like Zach Braff also noticed how cute Narwhal was.
Narwhal doesn’t even understand that he has a face tail. He just goes around and lives his life carefree.

The vet who looked into Narwhal’s face tail told Steffen there is a scientific explanation for its existence. However, it may be difficult to identify. There is a change that the adorable puppy absorbed a twin because they do that in the womb. Or it could just be a random extra part that formed on him without any explanation.
Steffen previously shared on Facebook that the vet found out the extra tail isn’t connected to anything and it doesn’t wag like a normal dog tail. The vet also stated that the unicorn tail doesn’t have to be removed because it doesn’t really bother Narwhal. He is a completely healthy puppy!
Although many people are interested in adoption Narwhal, he is still not ready. Mac’s staff will keep him until they are sure that his face tail isn’t going to have a growth spurt and become a problem. According to Steffen, Mac’s had already received around 300 adoption applications for Narwhal.
Narwhal the ‘Unicorn’ puppy is just being given the opportunity to live a carefree life and play with toys. Currently, he is learning how to potty train. He is just a fun-loving pup who can make you smile.
