Dogs are very curious creatures, so they often know to wander off. Sometimes they come back by the end of the day, but sometimes they may be gone for a longer time and this is very stressful to the owners.

And there are times when the missing dog returns in the most unusual way. This is what happened with Rajah who ran off when the neighbor started firing some fireworks.

“She was in the backyard with our other dog and our neighbor started shooting off fireworks and I knew she’d be scared,” Mary told SWNS. “I went to the backyard – and she was gone.”

Mary and her husband Ryan were looking for Rajah far and long through the neighborhood all night, but to no avail. They contacted the local shelter and posted on social media in hope that someone will come forward and help them bring Rajah home.

Just as Mary and Ryan’s hope was about to run out for the night, someone rang the doorbell at 3am.

Lo and behold – it was Rajah! Not only was she wondering the streets for 7 hours, she managed to find the way home and actually rang the doorbell!

“I don’t even know how she knew how to do that, I’ve never shown her how,” Mary said.

“She doesn’t go out in the front yard, except to the car, so she’s never seen us use the doorbell.”

Luckily, Ryan was still not asleep, so he heard the doorbell and let Rajah home.

“She had thorns on her and seemed to have rolled in poop,” she told SWNS. “So, it seems like she had a great time.”

The video was captured on their Ring camera and has now gone viral after the owners posted it on Reddit.
