A Boerboel dog named Bruno didn’t have an easy life. He was neglected, abused and certainly wasn’t loved the way a pet should be loved. His owner didn’t want him anymore and one day, he decided to give him up in a shelter so he can be euthanized. But, the neglected dog got his luck changed, and he got adopted!
Bruno’s sibling, who was also abused, was surrendered along with him. Sadly, the sibling passed away before they even got both of them to the vet.

Fortunately, Sidewalk Specials rescued and took in Bruno. They kept him hidden in a stable while they were searching for a foster or a forever home for him. Bruno was very nervous while waiting.
He wasn’t in the best of shape. It was obvious that he had been poorly treated and wasn’t fed enough. He was so thin, you could see every rib on his body.
Although he had lived a tough life, Bruno is a friendly dog. Although many dogs who have been abused are afraid of humans, Bruno was desperate for attention and love.

After receiving a bath, he also received medicine and got the proper medical treatment that he needed. It didn’t take much time for this neglected dog to get adopted! While he was going to his new home, he kept falling asleep in the car while sitting up. Although it has been a long few days for him, and an even longer few years, he is feeling safe and happy in his new home!
After arriving at his new home, he met his new doggy sibling and they immediately hit it off. Bruno loves his new mom and she loves him back. He leans on her while she pets him and he falls asleep right away. Bruno is very grateful to finally be in a home where he can feel safe, and more importantly, loved!
