A shelter dog named Bobby was given to Miami Dade Animal Services, and the volunteers immediately fell in love with him! A photo of the shelter dog wearing a Christmas sweater was posted on social media and immediately went viral.

Sadly, that didn’t mean that Bobby will get adopted right away. After two month-stay at Miami Dade Animal Services, things were not looking very good for him. Unfortunately, Bobby was placed on the list that no animal wants to be on the code red list.

Fortunately, Bobby’s life was about to change. A photo of him wearing a Christmas sweater was posted on social media and immediately went viral. Bobby stood behind bars and although he was wearing a festive sweater, he looked sad and depressed.

The volunteers who took the photo thought it would save Bobby’s life. The photo description was heartbreaking as well. It made people who have seen the photo to do the right thing, because if they didn’t, then the dog would die.

To make the deal even more attractive, Miami Dade Animal Services said they will pay for Bobby’s adoption fees. They were just looking for someone to provide him a forever home…and someone did!

Numerous people wanted to help Bobby. One of those people was Robert Miller. When he saw the heartbreaking picture, he knew he had to save the dog.

Robert works for a local rescue group, so he’s aware of what happens to dogs like Bobby if they can’t find a home.

However, another shelter volunteer named Paola beat Robert to the punch! By the time he arrived at the shelter, she had already taken to the vet’s office to get checked out. There, he received the needed treatment for some minor issues.

Paola vowed to make Bobby’s life better. She knew that Bobby’s story would bring out a lot of good people. That is the main reason she wanted to get to Bobby as soon as possible.

No dog deserves to spend the holidays in a shelter. We are so relieved that Bobby has finally found a forever home!
