It’s too sad to meet abandoned dogs on the street. Rejected and attacked by bad people, they seek refuge from passers-by, following them along the way, hoping to be housed.

Some time ago, Officer Bonne from Animal Care and Control said that a dog had been found tied up and abandoned.
When the officer arrived at the place where the dog was tied up, he noticed a note that was written: “My name is Oreo. I am over 10 years old. I have anxiety. My owner died. I’m really good. I need a home.” How beaking is that!
Bonne immediately took the dog with him into RACC’s care for medical examination and noticed that he could barely see or hear anything. Oreo was extremely shy and confused but also very scared, but after a while when he noticed that they were taking care of him, he started to relax.
Fortunately, the wonderful and poor puppy was in good health despite his impaired vision and hearing. Oreo was later was moved into a shelter and was waiting for his new owner. Luckily, the search for the new owner did not last long!
The people in the shelter care about these lovely abandoned creatures and deserve applause!
A woman in Fredericksburg called the shelter and wanted to adopt the Oreo, she believed there is something special about him and wanted to open her home to him.
She said that if he could spend the rest of his golden years walking around her five acres in Fredericksburg, it will be the best! Oreo now has a new mother and a new brother Ali, with whom they can play and run around together.
Imagine what happened to Oreo, from an abandoned dog with a note to a beautiful home full of love. I hope that there will be more good people who will help and adopt animals.
