When the black man asked Amy Cooper to put the pet on a leash, by park rules in that region, she anxiously walked around dragging the dog over the belt and threatened the man that she will report him to the police.
She refused to listen to him and decided to call the police and accuse the black man of being threatened by an African-American.

After the recording went public, Cooper lost her job due to the wrongful accusation of the black man.

She also voluntarily handed over her cocker spaniel, Henry, to the rescue team last month after the observer shared the footage.
The Аbandoned Аngels published on Wednesday on Facebook that they had returned the dog to Cooper and they agreed with the appropriate New York City law enforcement agencies, which have refused to check the dog or take it into their care. Also, they added that according to the law, they respected the owner’s rights and returned back.
The woman, who was discharged from her work as a portfolio manager at Franklin Templeton, openly apologized for the scandal in a report to PRNewswire. She wrote, she believes that a few embarrassing seconds in a lifetime of forty years will not describe her in his eyes and that he will believe for her sincere apology.

She also added that she behaved emotionally and made false suspicions about his intentions and was aware of the pain from wrong assumptions and insensitive statements about race cause.

The man responded, “he believes and thinks that her apology is real and hopes she will not react racistly in the future.”
