Recently, there was an adoption event that was more than successful. Although 299 dogs found forever families, a Pit Bull was the last standing dog that needed a new home. Unfortunately, nobody even considered adopting the gentle beast. This made his rescuers very sad and confused.

King Zeus is currently staying at the Humane Society for Hamilton County (HSHC), an animal shelter in Noblesville, Indiana. He was rescued from the streets in April, with scars all over his face.

Although pit bulls are usually considered as dangerous dogs, that is not true. When the 9-year-old pit bull was rescued from the streets, the staff at HSHC immediately fell in love with him despite his rough appearance. King Zeus loves people, even kids and he likes to be cuddled.

He was laying so quietly in his cage, which may be the reason for people overlooking him at the adoption event. According to the staff at HSHC, King Zeus doesn’t bark to get attention. It seemed like he lost his hope for a forever home.

King Zeus has been previously adopted. However, he couldn’t get along with the other dogs in the previous home. Maybe this is the main reason why he lost his hope.

According to the staff, King Zeus can’t live with other dogs, but he can live with children. Ever since the dog was returned to the shelter, he’s been waiting patiently for a new home.

Fortunately, someone saw how King Zeus is special. As soon as Austin Smith saw him, he fell in love with him and took him home.

The staff at the shelter were more than happy and they announced the good news on social media.
