A bulldog died during a grooming appointment at PetSmart. The dog owner wants answers after the incident happened.

Vikki Seifert went to a PetSmart salon in Las Vegas and dropped off her bulldog named Minni. Vikki wanted to give her dog a bath and a nail trim. However, the 2-year-old dog was crushed to death by a grooming table.

This is not the first time Vikki went to this salon. She had visited the place before and knew Minni’s appointment wouldn’t take long. She was at the store waiting for her pup when she saw employees rushing to the grooming area.

“I ran in there,” she said. “When I went in, she was crushed under a grooming table. They said that they had listened for her heartbeat and she was gone.”

According to Vikki, the collapsible grooming table crushed her dog when it closed all the way on her.  Another customer helped Vikki to get Minni’s body out, but they couldn’t raise the table while it was unplugged.

Vikki dropped her dog off at 6:30 p.m. and she received the devastating news about her dog at 6:43 p.m. The dog owner is still looking for answers about the whole situation.

“What were these two groomers doing? Why did no one notice where the dog was? Why was she under a table? How does a dog go in for a bath and get crushed in 13 minutes?” she asked.

A spokesperson for PetSmart released a statement in which reads that the company already launched an investigation into Minni’s death. The company is in contact with the pet owner since the incident occurred and will continue to support her during this difficult time.

While Vikki is still waiting for Minni’s necropsy report, she wants to see the surveillance video of the incident before pursuing any legal actions.
