In the last couple of years, TVs have gotten larger and more expensive. Despite that, they also come with a lot of packaging just like other items, such as furniture and household items. We all know where the packaging ends up.

Luckily, many companies have started with “eco-packaging” as a part of an initiative to reduce their environmental footprint. One of those companies is Samsung. The company announced that its Lifestyle TVs will now come in eco-packaging, which is kinda cool. Those TVs are The Serif which comes with a shelf, The Sero which rotates and The Frame which looks like a big picture frame.

How cool would it be if you can turn that packaging into something else, such as a cat house? Yes, you read right! The packaging from the Lifestyle TVs by Samsung can be turned into a cat house. How about that? When you buy a Samsung TV, you also get a house for your furry companion!

The idea behind this initiative is to reduce waste. So, after you assemble your TV, you can use the box to create a cat house, a newspaper stand or something else.

The packaging is made from corrugated cardboard, and it features a dot-matrix design to show where to cut and fold. You will also receive an assembly guide. The fixtures are designed to show Samsung’s branding. But, if you don’t want to display a free ad, you can always pick up spray paint.

Samsung has really surprised us with the furnishings they have created. However, this doesn’t mean that you have to buy a new TV if you don’t need it.

If you have the necessary skills and an artistic side, you can make your own cat house from a cardboard at home. It can turn out as a fun rainy-day project, right?
