Last week, when Tania Sants was walking by a store near her home in Mexico, she noticed a white cat, sitting alone out front. But, the cat’s presence isn’t unusual.
Tania learned that the smart cat chose the spot with a purpose. After petting the adorable cat, Tania was surprised when he led her inside the store. She went into the store and started walking around the aisles, but the cat had other plans. He blocked her path, led her to the section with the cat treat and made her buy him some. What a clever cat!
When Tania passed by the same store for the second time, she was looking for the cat but he wasn’t out front. Then, she went inside the store and found him on his favorite aisle with the cat treats.

Tania talked with the store employees and found out that the cat goes to the store every day, looking for people to buy him treats. It remains unknown where the cat goes when he leaves the store.
Tania was determined to find out whether the cat has a home. She visited the store for the third time. This time, she decided to capture the clever cat’s act on video. After she bought the treats for him, Tania decided to follow the cat and found out that he is actually a stray. Then he settled in a spot next to the road, which he may call a home.
Tania decided to offer him something better, other than treats. She took the cat to her house and adopted him.
It’s unknown how long the cat has been on the streets. His appearance can confirm that his life hadn’t been easy for him: his fur was matted and his tail was missing.
Tania went back to the store to talk to employees again, just in case they found his owner. However, nobody came to look for him.
Fortunately, the stray white cat now has a family, a cat sibling and a place to call home.
