The famous YouTube star, Steve Cash, has committed suicide at the age of 40. The social media sensation was found dead on Thursday morning. According to reports, Cash died of a self-inflicted gunshot wound after a longtime battle with mental health issues.

Steve Cash had more than 2 million YouTube subscribers, and his videos got more than 770 million views.

The news was announced on Friday morning by his wife Celia DeCosta Cash. Celia posted a tragic Facebook post alongside a photo of the couple, saying:

‘This is so hard. I’m not even sure what to say, or for that matter, what to do. I just lost my best friend, my sidekick, my lover, my mentor, my absolute everything, this morning’.

‘I’m so sad to say, my husband, Steve Cash took his own life this morning 4/16/2020. It hurts me to share this. – she added.

Cash became famous after launching his sketch comedy series called ‘Talking Kitty Cat’ around 13 years ago.

Cash filmed his cats while talking to them as if they were human and voicing some of their responses.

‘Bad! Bad! Bad!’ is the name of his most popular YouTube video with over 17 million views where he warned his cats to be nice to smaller cats.

Cash has previously spoken up about his mental health issues.

The last video he posted was on December 30th and it’s called ‘Sylvester Goes To Court’.
