Pet owners prefer dogs over cats. Although dogs make great pets, there are many reasons why cats make better pets. Cats don’t take much space, it’s easier to take care of them, plus they can cleanse themselves.
However, both cats and dogs can sometimes act like jerks. While dogs may rip your couch cushions for no reason, cats will poo in your sink or steal your food. But, having a furry companion has many benefits, including improving health and reducing stress.
Meet Ema and Shane who have two Alaskan Malamutes named Phil and Niko. Also, they have a ragamuffin/mainecoon cat named Milo. The couple even included their dogs in their wedding as the best man and the maid of honor. All of them are living happily in Manchester, England.

Thanks to an app called Pets4Homes, they picked up Phil from Liverpool and a year later, they went to Glasgow to pick up Niko. Three years later, Ema decided do add a cat to their family. Although her husband said no more dogs, he didn’t actually say no about other animals. So, Ema used the same app and found Milo. Her husband was not impressed.
Soon, Ema got pregnant and Niko really changed. It seemed like the malamute started showing her maternal instincts. When Ema gave birth to a beautiful baby named Amelia, all three pets fell in love with the newborn. They love spending time with their new human sister, especially Milo.
However, that was not always the case. At first, Milo was scared and stayed away from the baby. When he got comfortable around the baby, he even took her bed and relaxator. Soon, Milo learned to tolerate the tiny human and they started napping together. Soon, Milo fell in love with his new human and they share an incredible bond now.
