Police are searching for the couple who were caught on surveillance camera shooting and killing a dog in broad daylight. The incident happened on Saturday at around 7 a.m. in Lakewood, Colorado.

The police released the video after a neighbor gave it to them. In the video, a man and woman can be seen arguing. The man is holding the dog and the woman shoots him with a gun.

Concerned neighbors heard the shooting and they immediately called the police. When they arrived at the scene, they discovered the dog who was shot and killed.

According to witnesses, they said they saw the couple arguing in their silver Chrysler 300. They also said they witnessed the shooting of the dog after the man struggled with it. It appears that the dog was the couple’s pet.

The police released the video which was given to them by one of the neighbors. However, they edited the actual moment when the woman shoots and kills the dog. Instead, it shows a video snippet before the shooting and afterward.

The Lakewood police spokesman John Romero confirmed that the shooting of the dog was caught on the video.

Now, the police are asking the public for help. They want someone to help them identify and find the suspects. They even released a description of the suspects they are searching for:

  • A Hispanic or white man with black or dark hair. He was last seen wearing a black T-shirt, blue jeans, and white shoes.
  • A Hispanic or white woman with blonde hair. She was last seen wearing a black shirt with long sleeves and blue jeans.

Romero said that these things don’t happen very often. That’s why the police want to find the people who were involved in this case and find out why that happened.
