Nobody likes the feeling when someone wakes you up, especially when there’s no reason for it. However, one guy was woken up early in the morning by a family of lynx strange noise which actually turned out to be a pleasant surprise.
Tim Newton is a photographer based in Alaska. When he was woken up from noises coming from his porch, he quickly went out to investigate it. He couldn’t believe it…seven cute lynx and their mother decided to pay him a visit!
He immediately took his camera in order to capture the unique moment. The beautiful creatures lined up right outside in front of the screen door. It appears that they were very comfortable in front of the camera. They were acting like the porch was their own playground.

At first, Tim thought the creatures on his porch were cats, but later he noticed they were lynx kittens, not full-grown cats. “They were running back and forth, pouncing on each other,” explained Tim. “I started snapping away. I thought “Wow! What incredible luck. This is just wonderful! They were so cute. It was cute-tastic!”
As it is known, lynx are difficult to find and see and Tim has only seen them in the wild a few times. So, it must have been an exciting opportunity to photograph them up-close from the comfort of his own home. This is a dream come true for animal lovers, especially wildlife photographers.
Tim was utterly astonished when he saw so many lynx on his deck. They were playing in front of him for 40 minutes.
One of the lynx kittens saw Tim when he pulled the camera away. “The look of terror on that kitten’s face! His eyes were wide open, and he just flew away from me,” he said.
Tim is a photographer who is always thrilled to encounter wildlife. He is very thankful for seeing these family of lynx up close.
