Children are our blessing, our bundles of joy until those bundles grow into toddlers and start throwing fits for, well, any reason that comes to their mind. And when that happens, parents have two options – stare at your kid with a blank face until they’re done screaming, or join them in the tantrum! Just kidding, go hug your kid and console them no matter how much you want to scream together with them.

If it’s any consolation, it turns out that human children are not the only ones who throw tantrums, baby animals do it too! Now we know that human parents and animal parents share the same headache when the little one decides it’s time to make you regret every decision you’ve ever made that might have led to the tantrum – except you’ll never know where you went wrong no matter how much you ponder.

Today we’ll see how momma elephant handles a tantrum situation.

“We waited but after a few minutes of roadside grazing the females and other elephants moved into the roadside bush,” Antonio da Cruz, that witnessed the whole scene, explained. “This little guy had been standing in the middle of the road and was determined to stay put. After flaying his legs, head and tail a few times he looked over at his mom and she then called his bluff by moving further away into the bush. He quickly got up, gave us a stare and then chased after her.”

Just take a look at how chill momma elephant is! She knows that the little one’s tantrum will end eventually, and is not getting worried at all. Even though the baby lays on the ground and does what every toddler does while throwing a temper on the ground, the mother keeps her cool like a pro! Go momma elephant!

Cuteness overload! If only she could teach classes on keeping your cool in situations like these!
