A dog is called a man’s best friend for a reason. Dogs have proved so many times that they are one of the most loyal creatures. When people decide to get a pet, they usually get a dog. This makes dogs the most owned pets around the world. More than 43 million households just in the United States alone own dogs as pets.

Dogs are a source of joy and happiness. They can even help reduce stress and anxiety, as well as offer you love and great companionship.

However, there are dogs that are born with disabilities or get them through life. This doesn’t make those dogs less special.

Meet Opal, the cutest puppy that is unable to see or hear. She experiences the world in a different way than other dogs. However, that doesn’t stop her to live a happy life. She compensates by using her other senses like touch and smell.

Opal is an 8-month-old dog. She was a result of Merle to Merle breeding, which is prohibited in many countries because it can cause deafness, blindness or both.

One day, when Christina Bray and her husband were searching the web, they discovered Double J Dog Ranch, a rescue group that helps find homes for special needs dogs.

Christina recently shared a video of Opal and her loving spirit. Although the dog can’t see or hear, she still senses when her dad gets home, which is the highlight of her day. As soon as he’s home, she’s bursting with happiness when she greets him.

She waits in the front yard and waits to either feel or smell his car idk how she can tell the difference because neighbor cars pull up and she doesn’t care. She then smells him and goes crazy. It’s very sweet!! Christina noted that Opal waits in the front yard as soon as she feels or smells her dad’s car. But, when a neighbor’s car pulls up, Opal doesn’t care.

It appears that her other senses have increased due to her deafness and blindness. But, Opal is very happy with her parents.
