Dogs can shower their owners with hugs and kisses. However, people sometimes fail to express their love for their dogs, especially strays in general. Even though they live on the streets, they still deserve to be loved!
While some people believe that dogs don’t like to be hugged, most dog owners would disagree, especially after seeing these images. Dogs enjoy hugs more than we think. They lick us, play with us, or even bark at us just to see us smile. There is a reason why they call them man’s best friends!
Although hugging is actually invading someone’s personal space, it can release dopamine and serotonin, and even reduce stress. Most dog owners would tell you that their furry companions love hugs just as humans do. Dogs can be real snuggle bugs when they receive loving hugs from their owners.

In case you weren’t aware, stray dogs actually never get hugged which is heartbreaking. However, one boy decided to do something about it. M panu from Thailand thought of the unfortunate dogs and decided to give them love with hugging.
The reactions of stray dogs being hugged for the first time in their lives are incredible! Their reactions have been captured on video and photos. M panu called the project “The First Hug” and his goal was to show the world that even stray dogs can love back.
When the dogs saw that M panu didn’t want to hurt them, they started to give the love back.
The strays got really comfortable and relaxed with the boy once they realized he was harmless.
Pets receive hugs and love all the time, but strays don’t. So, next time when you see a stray dog, don’t pass by. Pet it, or give it a hug!
