It’s a fact that the coronavirus pandemic changed our lives. It’s recommended to stay at home and practice social distancing in order to stop the virus from spreading even more, especially from strangers.

Despite the recommended social distancing, these two animals decided to form an unusual bond through a window.

Henry and Vance are American Shorthairs cats who live at a home in Raleigh with lots of windows. They love looking outside. On Sunday, when they were looking out, surprisingly a deer showed up and wanted to look in.

Johnnie Sexton, the cats’ owner, pointed out that his lovely pets became friends with the unexpected guest. When he looked out the room in his dining room, he saw that the deer got his face in the window, looking inside the house.

When Vance noticed the deer, he immediately rushed to the dining room and put his paws on the window. When the deer moved, the cat also moved. It was like their way of communicating. However, Henry is a shy cat and he was just watching from the sidelines.

Sexton’s house is located inside the beltline in Raleigh. It’s not unusual for deers to show up in the yard. He also noted that he believes his cat Vance has the ability to talk with other animals.

In the video below, you can hear the cat doing something that he’s never done before. Some of his vocalizations are even directed at the deer.

When the deer saw Vance, he got closer and even put his nose on the window. Then, he laid down in front of the window and spend the next hour there.

As soon as the video was shared, it went viral. Sexton didn’t expect that, but he is happy his boys can make people smile during the pandemic.
