Many athletes like showing off their spirit of competitiveness. They enjoy competing in sports that require physical strength, speed, and endurance.

One of those athletes is Khemjira Klongsanun. She is a 43-year-old woman who loves to run. She is from Bangkok, Thailand and she has participated in many marathons.

Recently, she participated in the Chombueng marathon in Ratchaburi, Western Thailand. Local health enthusiasts started this marathon back in 1985.

The running distance was 26 miles and lasted for 7 hours. She showed that she is a good and kind-hearted athlete. During the marathon, she saw a puppy on the side of the road. Instead of leaving it there and continuing with her marathon, she decided to stop and do something about the abandoned puppy.

When Khemjira saw the lost puppy, she was on her 7th mile. She decided to take the puppy with her since she didn’t saw his mother nearby. Instead of leaving the puppy with someone in the audience, she decided to finish the marathon with the puppy.

Khemjira and the dog made a deep connection as the puppy made it to the finish line with her. After the marathon was over, the athlete went back to look for the puppy’s siblings or mother in the area but didn’t find anyone. So, she decided to bring the abandoned puppy in her home.

Khemjira didn’t want to give away the puppy, she decided to keep it at her home. She named him Nom Chom.

After bringing Nom Chom home, Khemjira made a vet appointment to check him up. Fortunately, the dog is healthy and now happy at his new home.

We are so grateful for Khemjira’s actions. Not only she is a great athlete, but she also showed that she has a big heart. Instead of leaving the puppy, she took it with her and even ran the rest of the marathon. What an amazing woman!
