A cat who has a two-tone face recently fathered 2 kittens, one of each color.

Meet Narnia, the special cat who was a rare genetic trait. It’s really surprising that his head is split almost mathematically down the middle into two different colors.

Although the cause of Narnia’s face remains unknown, it usually occurs because of a genetic anomaly called chimerism. In this case, male cats have an extra X chromosome was present at the embryonic stage during his development.

His owner Stephanie Jiminez decided to test him. However, the test revealed that he isn’t a chimera, which makes it even more unusual.

This article isn’t about getting to the bottom of Narnia’s specific case. Despite his condition, he managed to father two cute kittens, one black named Prada and one grey named Phoenix.

Jiminez, a 34-year-old professional cat breeder, confirmed that a geneticist performed tests and discovered that the two-faced cat has just one DNA. So, his case will remain a mystery for science.

Even though it’s very rare for a black cat to have blue eyes, Narnia has the same color. Usually, white cats have blue eyes.

The two-faced cat was born in France, but he now lives in Britain with Jiminez. The two kittens were born last year and they were put up for adoption. Phoenix immediately found a new forever home and Prada will move with her new family anytime soon.

However, Narnia will stay with his owner. Hopefully, he will continue to breed and father once again.

Although we may never fully understand what’s causing his rare fur coloring, we can at least stare at his future kittens who will bear his amazing genes.
