Authorities recently found the body of a German Shepherd dog in Naperville, Illinois. The body weighed around 20 pounds, but usually, German Shepherds should weigh around 70 pounds.

Naperville police officers and Naperville Animal Control were walking on a trail where the dead animal was found. The dog was wrapped in a bedsheet and placed in a storage container before it was left near a drainage ditch in the woods.

When the body was found, the police launched an investigation to find out who left the dog in the ditch. The investigation led them to the home of 27-year-old Andre Norris and 19-year-old Sarah Gorski. The couple owned the dead German Shepherd and two other animals.

After searching the couple’s home, the police also found a German Shepherd/Hound mix. The dog was locked in a rusty dog crate which was filled with urine, blood, and feces. This dog weighed around 20 pounds just like the dead German Shepherd.
