With the coronavirus spreading around the world, many countries are currently in lockdown. Many unessential stores and facilities have been closed as prevention to COVID-19. This includes restaurants, cafes, clothing stores, theaters, cinemas, zoos, etc. depends on the country’s preventive measures.

With the zoos closed, animals were forced to accept the fact that there will be no visitors in the next few weeks or even months. Animals were used to interact with the public. As a result of the lockdown, many animals have been feeling a little down lately.

This is the main reason why the staff at an aquarium in Texas decided to let some animals out of their enclosures so they can interact with each other.

There are various species in the Texas State Aquarium. But some land animals have probably never seen a water-based animal. So, when dolphins noticed a sloth right in front of their aquarium, they went crazy.

Although this may seem like an uncommon thing, it’s clear that the dolphins really enjoyed the new view from their enclosure.

A spokesperson from the aquarium said that the staff often gives the animals a chance to ‘meet’ other species and helps keep them active.

The 3-year-old sloth is named Chico. He also visited the ducks, fish, sharks, and seahorses. There is another sloth at the aquarium named Xena, but she wanted to sleep instead of going around and meeting other animals.

The staff is really hardworking. They are very busy preparing different meals for different animal species, maintaining their enclosures and taking care of the animals.

Since people can’t go to the zoo right now, zoos around the world decided to do live-stream shows so people in self-isolation can see the animals and have fun.

Another facility decided to let penguins out of their enclosures and meet with other species, just like Chico did in Texas State Zoo.
