Ever since the coronavirus outbreak was announced as a pandemic, governments recommend to their citizens to stay home and avoid human contact. The coronavirus originates in Wuhan, China, but just in a few months, it spread around the world.

COVID-19 really changed our lives in the past few weeks and it will continue in the next few months. But, the virus didn’t affect just humans, it also affected animals.

Humans are told to stay inside their homes as a preventive measure to COVID-19. As a result, wild animals have returned to areas where there are no humans. We have previously reported about wild boars on the Italian streets and monkeys in Thailand. Even pollution levels have been reduced.

In Japan, deers from Nara Park came to the streets and wandered around, looking for food. Now, a similar thing happened in Wales.

A herd of mountain goats appeared in Llandudno, a town in north Wales. They usually can be found in the Great Orme headland, and they rarely make contact with humans.

Carl Triggs, a resident from the town, said the goads live on the hill which is overlooking the town. They rarely come down in the town because they are afraid of people.

Now that people in Wales are in lockdown and there are no humans on the streets, the herd decided to wander on the streets.

Carol Marubbi, the town councilor, said that goats are curious and maybe they wanted to find out what’s happening.  They are still nervous around humans, which means the goats will return to their hill once the lockdown is over.

Andrew Stuart, a videographer shared videos of the goats online, admitted they were afraid of him. They aren’t fans of human presence.

For now, Llandudno is a city that is run by goats.
