Seeing an exotic animal in a zoo is an amazing experience, but seeing them in their natural habitat is an even more incredible experience.

Recently, tourists who visited Africa got the chance to see a leopard mum with her cubs. Luckily, the precious moment was caught on camera.

The rare up-close encounter occurred at the Kruger National Park in South Africa. Most drivers are used to let animals such as deers or ducks cross the road, but imagine stopping for a leopard!

When 64-year-old tourist Thinus Delport was driving at the park with his daughters, he managed to film the whole thing on camera. During an interview, he said they were in a traffic jam, but just several cars were stationary. He thought tourists were looking at lions. However, he soon realized the traffic jam was because of a leopard family.

Delport’s daughter noticed that a mother leopard was trying to move her cubs behind their vehicle. Such an adorable sight to see: a leopard mum helping her cubs to cross the road.

However, one of the cubs somehow got out of her sight and turned back. Even his brother followed him. But, the cautious mom immediately noticed her naughty children, so she quickly went back to get them.

This is such an incredible sight to see. Even the staff at the park confirmed that this is really rare. The Delport family was lucky enough to see a leopard. You don’t often see a leopard mom trying to relocate her cubs from one place to another while they are still so young.

This is not the first time that the Delport family visited the Kruger. In fact, they have been visiting the park for the last 50 years. However, this is their first time to see a leopard. I guess patience always pays off!
