Fiona the hippo and her boyfriend Timothy don’t let the distance ruin their cute relationship.
Fiona resides in the Cincinnati Zoo, while her boyfriend Timothy lives the San Antonio Zoo. Fiona was born on January 24 in 2017 and she recently celebrated her third birthday. Although her boyfriend lives thousands of miles away, he made sure her birthday was as special as ever.
Timothy really knows how to win Fiona’s heart. He managed to send his girlfriend an Edible Arrangements bouquet on Thursday, according to a photo shared by the Cincinnati Zoo on social media.
Not only did he surprised her with a tasty treat, but he surprised her with a love letter and a serenade on Facebook.
In his post, Timothy confessed that he laid eyes on Fiona the first time he saw her. As she grows older, she is becoming cuter and more charming!
Although Timothy isn’t featured in the video, he hired his good friend and country music star Aaron Watson.

In the video, Watson sings “Happy Birthday” to Fiona and reminds her that Timothy lover her very much although he is far away from her.
Cincinnati Zoo shared a picture on Instagram of the lovely couple. It appears that 3 looks good on Fiona.
The employees at the zoo made a special treat for the birthday girl and even gave her very first bubble bath with soap made just for animals.
The whole city is celebrating Fiona’s birthday too. A local brewing company even made a new 4-pack of Team Fiona beer!

The zoo also asked Fiona fans to show their support by purchasing a custom t-shirt that will benefit Australian wildlife that has been affected by the devastating wildfires.
