Good news for rescue dogs! There is finally a Rescue Dogs Show that will judge dogs for their personality, instead of their breed. The only requirement to enter this show is the dog to be a rescue, it doesn’t have to be purebred to compete, and mutts are their favorites.

The dogs will compete in 10 categories, such as best in special needs and best in talking. Other categories include best couch potato, best in snoring, best senior dog, best in wiggle butt, etc. Rebecca Romijn and Rich Eisen are the hosts, and the program features other celebrities as the judges, including Ross Matthews.

Matthews said he loves special needs dogs, especially with an underbite and a crocked tooth.

The winner of each group will also compete for the ultimate title, which is Best in Rescue. The Petco Foundation will provide $75,000 in non-profit grants to the winners.

We wonder who wins in each category. However, each category will be filled with cute faces and wagging tails. The aim of this show is to raise awareness of rescue dogs and even help them find homes.

This is an amazing idea for a show which will encourage people to adopt, instead of buying dogs.

During an interview with People, Rebecca Romijn said that many people don’t understand that all dogs are beautiful, even mixed breeds.

You will get to hear the stories of all the rescue dogs. This will be a heart-warming event that will have you smiling and cheering for each dog.

All dogs even those without pedigree will get a change compete in a dog show to show their unique traits.

The American Rescue DogĀ  Show will premiere on Hallmark Channel on February 19 at 8:00 p.m. ET/PT.
