Today we will talk about the photographer who was chosen as the winner of the Wildlife Photographer of the Year People’s Choice award.

A touching photo shows the story of the man who saved the gorilla.

Many of us are afraid of these wild animals, but from this scene, we see the exact opposite. Тhe wild animal embraces her hero, her protector with all her soul, with all her heart.

This special moment of tenderness was captured by photographer Jo-Anne McArthur in Cameroon while the gorilla was taken to a shelter.

Before being rescued, gorilla Pikin was captured by poachers who wanted to trade her, but thanks to the charity group Ape Action Africa, she was rescued on time.

Fortunately, Pikin woke up in the arms of Appolinaire Ndohoudou, the man who saved her life.

They shared their extraordinary connection, given by their life story. Just like the gorilla, this man was forced to leave his homeland and go to Cameroon.

This passionate photographer who is a true lover of animals said that he is very grateful that this photo has melted many hearts and he hopes that it will inspire everyone to care a little more about animals.

“Jo-Anne’s inspirational picture is a symbol of humanity’s power to protect the world’s most helpless species and shape a more sustainable future for life on our planet,” Sir Michael Dixon, director of the Natural History Museum, the host of the competition, told the media.

All his images should remind us how to influence the natural world and how to take care of it. We must make changes together and protect the natural world!
