When Aishah Afandi rescued a cat 5 years ago, she didn’t intend to keep him. However, Neko was for keeps because he never abandoned a thing halfway in her life.
Afandi said that she didn’t know the cat would change her life forever. She used to be a proud and egoistic workaholic, and she didn’t give in to others easily.
However, when Neko started living with Afandi, the former workaholic really changed, she even started putting the cat’s needs before her. The cat taught Afandi how to love and be compassionate.
Afandi had another cat named Maru, who passed away from feline infectious peritonitis a year ago. She felt like she lost half of her life when the cat died.
Fortunately, Neko is still alive and is the one bright spark in her life right now. He always follows her around the house and never leaves her side. Neko is always there for her, they even eat together!
After Afandi lost Manu, she believes Neko saved her from total despair. You always hear stories about people saving animals, but this is quite the opposite!

Neko is not like other cats. Most of them like meat or fish, but he likes eating vegetables. Whenever Afandi comes home from the market, the cat immediately goes to the groceries and sits next to a bag of greens and eats the leaves.
