People have been isolating since many governments decided that it’s the best way to stop the coronavirus from spreading even more. Thanks to the quarantine, many animals showed up on the empty streets.

Now, a mountain lion appeared in Longmont, Colorado. The resident who saw the animal underneath his car was in shock.

The mountain lion somehow got into the garage and decided to take a nap under the parked car.

The concerned citizen called the Longmont police to report the case. The Longmont police called Colorado Parks and Wildlife who arrived at the scene and confirmed that the mountain lion was a young male.

Wildlife officers had to tranquilize the animal so he wouldn’t hurt them while they were working on relocating him back to Colorado’s high country. Fortunately, the mountain lion was safely released and nobody was hurt. It seems that he came to the city to take a cat nap!

Before the first mountain lion was discovered in a garage, many residents reported that they have seen him wandering around.

According to officials, it’s not uncommon for mountain lions to go into urban areas. The main reason for this is because these animals are opportunistic hunters and they often target livestock or domestic pets.

Even though mountain lions have occupied the United States from coast to coast, they can usually be found in every state east of the Rockies. There is also a small population of these animals living in Florida.

Sadly, the mountain lions are facing extermination in areas where there is a huge human development.
