A pet shop employee was fired after she grabbed a dog by its neck and threw it on a concrete floor. The whole accident was caught on camera and the video immediately sparked outrage on social media.
A Twitch user named Royce Thomas was live streaming from the Bark n’ Bitches Dog Boutique in Los Angeles, California when she accidentally filmed the employee abusing the dog. A lot of animal lovers were outraged after watching the video.
In the video, you can see that the employee is violently grabbing the poor dog by the neck and throws her hard on the concrete floor. A loud thud can be heard as the dog hits the ground. The dog is visibly shaken and runs to hide under a bench while the other dogs are scared of the employee.
After the video went viral, store owner Shannon von Roemer issued multiple apologies across her social media pages. She said that the employee was trying to break up an aggressive dog fight, but she didn’t approve of the employee’s “inexcusable” behavior. After the incident, Shannon took the dog to the vet and confirmed that it is doing good for now.
The pet shop owner also informed that the employee was fired. Shannon also claimed that such abuse of dogs will never happen in her store again. However, many people are still concerned about the pet store’s reliability after watching the disturbing video.
According to law enforcement sources, Bark n’ Bitches is under investigation. Also, the LAPD’s Animal Cruelty Taskforce is aware of the incident.
