People own dogs for various reasons. While some of them love having a furry companion at home, others have service dogs that are specifically trained to help people with a disability.

Of course, not everyone who owns a dog is a good person. Some people train their dogs so they can participate in dogfighting, a type of blood sport. Usually, there are 2 or more dogs fighting in a ring or a pit just for entertainment purposes. People who arrange to dogfight make money from admission fees and gambling.

This so-called sport is illegal, even if you are just spectating, it’s still considered as a felony offense in the United States. It’s also banned in some countries, but it’s still legal in Albania, Japan and in some parts of Russia.

Dog Fighting is so wrong and animal activists are fighting against it. Poor dogs usually got bruising, wounds or even broken bones during the fights. They often die of dehydration, blood loss, infection or even exhaustion.

But, not every dog shares the same fate. Recently, a dog got lucky enough to be rescued from a dogfighting ring. We present you Finn the Pit Bull, who is also known as Mighty Finn.

Dogs who are trained to fight are often considered to be very dangerous, especially pit bulls. However, Finn wasn’t like that. All he ever wanted was food and love. After he was rescued, he received his first tasty food and he almost lost his mind.

Finn spent most of his life in horrible conditions, and he almost never got any treats. When his rescuers gave him pizza crust, he was so happy, he started running and jumping in the room.

Although the pizza crust is just a small thing, the pit bull really loved it. He also showed us that we should appreciate the small things even more.

The pit bull is now in a safe place, away from the ring and he loves eating pizza crusts.
